I love to serve this customer because he always brings me a good story to keep improving my Portuguese comprehension.
The man speaks in a slurred speech, I can hardly understand him….
I think he speaks in another dialect of Portuguese, it’s good for me because I learn much better that way.
However, when this man speaks to me, my mind weaves the web like a spider’s web.
And so I create the story that I think he is telling me.
This man looks like Don Juan from Carlos Castaneda’s book, very wise, he gives me that perception.

Well, while I am cutting the Serrano ham he says to me:
“I have a friend who went to a pet store and they sold him gourmet food for his cat…. According to what they told him, it was better than many human foods because it was good, nutritious, they sold him cans of fish mousse, tuna and chicken, he said that his cat would never meow again to ask for his food”.
He goes on to say:
“My friend impressed by these gourmet cans tried one and loved it…”
Finally, touching his elbow, as if to say he’s a cheapskate, he added:
I don’t know if the story is true, but this man told it to me with great enthusiasm and lots of laughter.
